Childish Gambino Covers Chris Gaines’ “Lost In You” & It’s Actually Fire

Country Music

What a power move.

Gun to my head, I probably couldn’t name a single Chris Gaines song to save my life.

If you start pulling out Chris Gaines (the Garth Brooks alter-ego) covers, you’re simply operating on a different wavelength.

Childish Gambino reached deep down into his bag of tricks and pulled out a cover of “Lost In You,” Gaines’ debut single, for Like A Version, a weekly segment on the Australian radio show, Triple J.

The hilarious part of all of this… Chris Gaines was “from” Australia. You got AC/DC, Kylie Minogue, Keith Urban, maybe even a little Savage Garden, but no, while visiting an Australian radio show, he hits you with the Chris Gaines.

Like I said, a different wavelength.

Not to mention, it was fire.
