Barack Obama Admits Dolly Parton Not Being Given Presidential Medal of Freedom Was A “Screwup”

Dolly Parton is a NATIONAL TREASURE.

We all know it. You can’t deny it. She continues to prove it.

A legend in every sense of the word, Dolly surprisingly has never been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

For the unfamiliar, the Presidential Medal of Freedom is an award given by the President of the USA to individuals “who have made exceptional contributions to the security or national interests of America, to world peace, or to cultural or other significant public or private endeavors.”

Yes, Dolly Parton falls right in there.

During a recent interview with Stephen Colbert, former President Barack Obama was asked specifically about Dolly never being awarded the honor.

“That’s a mistake. I’m shocked,” Barack says.

“Looking back at your eight years, do you realize that’s the mistake you made?” Colbert asks.

“Actually, that was a screwup,” Obama admits. “I’m surprised. I think I assumed that she had already gotten one, and that was incorrect.”

“She deserves one. I’ll call Biden.”

I don’t care who gives Dolly the honor, JUST MAKE IT HAPPEN.
