Jennifer Nettles + Justin Miller — Country Love Stories

Updates

Jennifer Nettles, one-half of the country duo Sugarland and a successful solo artist, celebrates her wedding anniversary with husband Justin Miller on Nov. 26. Theirs is a simple and intimate love story.

Back in 2006, Miller, an entrepreneur and a former model, appeared in Sugarland’s music video for “Want To.” In the clip, he shares a bed with Nettles, but the two didn’t begin dating for a couple more years. Nettles divorced her first husband, Todd Van Sickle, in 2007, then dated Miller for over two years before tying the knot on Nov. 26, 2011.

Nettles and Miller got married in a small sunset ceremony in a chapel in the foothills of the Smoky Mountains. She wore an Alexander McQueen gown, and friends and family – including Nettles’ Sugarland bandmate Kristian Bush – surrounded them as they said “I do.”

The couple welcomed baby Magnus in December of 2012. Though the “That Girl” singer doesn’t speak publicly of her marriage often, she says that her son’s laughter and “the smell of my husband’s neck in the morning” are among things that make her happy — along with a good cup of coffee, a solid glass of Bordeaux, a screened-in porch and more.
